Branson for Thanksgiving

We are still in Branson awaiting some more mail and then we will be on the road again. We have been arranging and rearranging the rv. We met Kevin & Suzanne from Deluth MN. We have enjoyed gathering tips on full timing from them and share our daily adventures every evening or in the mornings. They passed on the Rule of 2's. Never drive more than 200 miles a day, don't drive after 2pm, stay at least 2 days. Travel Tuesdays thru Thursdays and park till Monday. We will try that and see how it works out. We also are using lattitudes app, with our new RV friends we can see if we are in areas of interest for future travel or if we are close enough for a get together. We enjoyed a dinner cruise on the Branson Belle, she is like an old time river paddle boat in fact the ships wheel is from an original 20's river boat.We have enjoyed playing hand & foot, card games with friends at the camp club house. We had dinner at the Fish House and blackberry cobbler at the Farmhouse. In downtown we had an interesting conversation of politics with Joel (a shop owner) and a local guy or perhaps friend of Joel's. We still have plenty of exploring to do.

Still in Branson

Well we are going to stay in Branson another week. The price is right, the weather is good except for some rain. Ken has replaced the belt on the jeep and now we are squeak free. We are working out our system of storage and space. Finding out what works and what doesn't. There is a swap table in the activity room here and before we leave, we may add to it! We have met several people here from Canada,Maine, and Minnesota. We have more exploring in the jeep to do yet and getting together with Carl and Sue. We are enjoying our new life style. We are plotting our next stop and will post more pictures too.

Branson,MO

We have arrived in Branson this afternoon. We had some rain on the way but stopped once we arrived. The fall colors are still bright on the trees and it looks like the peak colors were about 1 or 2 weeks ago. We have 2 more days of family in town with us and then we are truly on our own. We plan to take in some shows, try some fishing and visit with ken's friend Carl. I think we are the youngest people in the rv park by about 20 years! However everyone is very friendly and talktive.
