Pepe's in Las Cruces

Should we be here?????

Cool mountain air...quite a contrast from the desert floor!

The beginning of U.S. 380 in the West. Follow this road for just a few hundred more miles and we are home!!!
After riding all day, a cold beverage is always nice. This is our server, Karen, carding me! I guess scooter riding makes one younger!

Day 50 - Lordsburg

Day 49 - Casa Grande

Oh yes,Lila (the name of our GPS) will find the best way to San Ysidro! Yep, that cutie is my fantastic husband Ken.

Humphries Inn at Shelter Island. This is a great place to stay, lots of resturants, tons of boats to look at. All summer they have nightly live entertainment and concerts too. We were lucky to get a last minute booking thru hotels.com. We have been using that a lot since MN and till the end of our trip.

The last of the four corner stops. San Ysidro post office.

You know that your near the Mexican boarder when they take dollars and pesos!

Yes folks, thats 115 degrees! El Centro, Ca.

108 degrees at 9 o'clock in the evening. Dateland, Az.

This is my wonderful, beautiful wife Sharlene. This gal has ridden over 10,000 miles with me in the last month and a half. We have ridden in storms, rain, hail, windy, hot, and cold. Two weeks ago we crossed over a mountain pass in Montana that still had snow. Now here she is in Dateland, Az...it's 930 in the evening and 108 degrees and she is still smiling! Am I a lucky man or what?!?!?!?

We are still researching this light that appeared out of no where to the south of us while on I 8 tonight. We think they are flares as there were two of them at times. Perhaps these are being used in some type of Mexican boarder patrol mission's. Or they are lights from possible UFO's, LOL!
