As I've mentioned before, this trip has afforded us opportunities to meet and talk to great people. Without a doubt, these folks have been the most fun and interesting! Seated (L-R) is Sharlene, Joan, Brooke, and Russ. We bumped into them at the McDonalds in Southbury, Ct. and in just minutes felt as if we were with family! We talked about flying and airplanes, politics, investments, motorcycles, and just life in general! Russ and Brooke fly and own their own planes, so we immediately had plenty to talk about. Then there is Joan...although we only chatted for about half an hour, I could go on forever about this wonderful lady! Joan is like the Aunt that everyone wishes they could have. We had a terrific discussion about politics and who should be the next President. I wont provide details, but can safely say that we will probably be casting votes for the same candidate. As we were leaving, the conversation continued for a while in the parking lot while Russ was checking out our scooters. We could have visited for hours, but rain was beginning to fall and we needed to put in a few more miles. It was a little saddening to leave such wonderful folks behind but who knows...we may come back to this area again soon! |
