Today we took a short ride of 238 miles to our cousin Susan and Phil's in Broadland, VA. A beautiful day to ride and I actually wore a light jacket most of the day. We stopped for gas north of Richmond and met Fabian and Charlita. This perimeter ride sparks a lot of conversations and questions. We happened to pick a perfect day to stay with our cousins, as we able to celebrate Dustin's birthday. Dustin just qualified for the world duathlon ( run-bike-run) in Switzerland, held in September. Way to go Dustin. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Clyde's, visiting with our family and a round of pool. Ken has discovered that cousin Phil is quite the pool shark!
One of the things on our "bucket list" is a perimeter ride of the USA...on motorcycles. After all, we have been riding two wheels longer than we care to admit! Since we have never been the type to "follow the crowd", we decided that we would attempt this ride on scooters. *****************UPDATE************** We have lost our minds...AGAIN! We are doing the Perimeter Ride again, this time on cruisers. Stay tuned for more adventures of Ken and Sharlene!!!!
