One of the things on our "bucket list" is a perimeter ride of the USA...on motorcycles. After all, we have been riding two wheels longer than we care to admit! Since we have never been the type to "follow the crowd", we decided that we would attempt this ride on scooters. *****************UPDATE************** We have lost our minds...AGAIN! We are doing the Perimeter Ride again, this time on cruisers. Stay tuned for more adventures of Ken and Sharlene!!!!

Day 18 Rest & Relax - by Sharlene
We took an actual day off today to be tourist and relax. A local diner called "Dolly's" for breakfast and a jaunt over to Canada. We stayed for about an hour, walked and rode around the area some. Not really a lot to see on this border town of Edmundston. We took a short ride over to Ft. Kent, the scenery is beautiful rolling mountain hills covered in green. Mostly over cast but no real rain today and ended up clearing more as the day went on. We also visited the four corners park. It's totally funded by donations and is a great tribute to the sport of motorcycle riding. Ken had his first experience with a Lobster Roll. It actually was pretty good, not heavy on the mayonnaise which is a good thing. We will try to work at least one more in before we leave Maine and hopefully a Lobster dinner? If not, well all the more reason to come back to this great state. We have totally enjoyed the place and the people. We went over to the local grocery store and picked up cobb salads and wine for dinner. Then enjoyed meeting a local family on the porch as we set out to enjoy the cool evening. It's high school graduation weekend up here, so extra families in town for the event. We head out tomorrow morning to the south of Maine. We have enjoyed our stay at the Martin Motel. We would recommend it to anyone staying up here. They are friendly and run a clean little 12 room motel. As stated by a reviewer on Tripadvisor, it's like staying at Grandmas only cleaner!
