One of the things on our "bucket list" is a perimeter ride of the USA...on motorcycles. After all, we have been riding two wheels longer than we care to admit! Since we have never been the type to "follow the crowd", we decided that we would attempt this ride on scooters. *****************UPDATE************** We have lost our minds...AGAIN! We are doing the Perimeter Ride again, this time on cruisers. Stay tuned for more adventures of Ken and Sharlene!!!!

Day 19 Beautiful Ride - by Sharlene
Our stay in Madawaska, ME was fun and one day of rest to U Turn to the South! Now that just feels strange. We did see one moose and a deer today on the ride down 1 to Houlton, ME. Still seeing bikes out enjoying the sunny weather. Just past Bangor we stopped to determine our next overnight. A clear night meant let's find a place to camp! We stayed a Sebasticook Lake. I think Maine mosquitos can give Texas mosquitos a run for their money! We picked up a warmer sleeping bag and our cook out supplies. Dispoable grills are the way to go on this type of ride. Steaks were grilled to perfection by Chef Ken. A nice grassy area to pitch the tent but dew in the morning makes for a bit of a messy tear down of camp. Great camping weather! As we headed out for Sturbridge, MA we stopped in York, ME for a lobster lunch at 3 Bouys. Our first ride on the MA turnpike was uneventful, which equals good travels. Stayed at one of our new favorite hotels, The Publick House. Grabbed some chicken salad and beverages for dinner to dine in. Looking forward to the yummy coffee and sticky buns for breakfast in the morning. It's looking like rain in the forecast in PA. What is up with that? Does it always rain in PA? LOL!
