Day 23

Look at those blue skies! What a change from the rainy days we have had! We were almost "uncomfortably" warm today but we did not complain!!!

We stopped at Exit 213 on I-70 to check the map and found Houston's BBQ. Since it just happened to be lunchtime, we decided to give it a try. I teased the owner for a while about our Texas BBQ, then found that he was a direct descendant of Sam Houston! Suddenly, we were all "old friends"! As it turned out, I was forced to admit that his BBQ could hold it's own in our great state of Texas! If you are passing through this area, I highly recommend a stop. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Chrissy, Chad, and Chris. Follow the blog Chrissy...I will post lots of photos as we pass through Washington.

This is Chrissy, Chad, and Chris. These guys make the best BBQ around! Chad is the great, great, great, grandson of Sam Houston!

Last but not least! This wonderful lady is May...the brains of the operation! May and I had a little visit and she explained how the whole thing came to be. She was reluctant to take much credit, but I could see that she was merely being modest!

Ohio !

One of the things I have been in anticipation of on this trip is passing through Amish country. We were on a small road that took us through a rural area that was populated with Amish. I was able to snap a couple pics as we passed this buggy. This area absolutely fascinated me and is on my list of places in which to return!

And this one!
