Day 9 details (by Sharlene)

Today, we rode at total of 311.5 miles. The rain made it a tough ride at times. This morning wasn't so bad but, to end the day in "I can't see anything but the white line a foot in front of me" is crazy. We actually road into this storm as we approached the last 30 miles of our ride today. The last 5 were the craziest. Ken peeking around the windshield to see and I'm popping up to see over mine. We were very glad to see the exit sign. As usual we met some really nice people along the way. Had some great St. Louis BBQ ribs for dinner. Yummy! Tonight was our first laundry night, ugh! We are looking forward to riding without the rain tomorrow. Currently looking down the road for oil changes in the scooter before long. We should hit the South Carolina boarder and a bit beyond tomorrow. Evening showers will have us looking for another deal on a hotel instead of tent camping. Ya' just never know what we will end up with!
